Our Team

Dr. Hart received her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is a proud member of the American Optometric Association and the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians.

During her final year at SCO, she completed her clinical rotations at Vision Source of Hendersonville and Loden Vision Centers with an emphasis on comprehensive eye care. She went on to practice at Loden Vision Centers and gained clinical experience in medical optometry: diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and retinal disease, with a heavy emphasis on cataract and LASIK surgery pre and post-operative care.

Previously, she received her bachelor’s at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. In her free time, she enjoys singing, writing music, and spending time with her family in Milan, where she grew up. She is thrilled to come back home and serve the West Tennessee community, applying the knowledge she gained during her time in school and while practicing in Nashville.

Dr. Adkisson received her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She is passionate about providing comprehensive eye care and helping patients maintain healthy vision throughout every stage of life.

During her clinical training at SCO, Dr. Adkisson gained experience in primary eye care, contact lenses, ocular disease management, and the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of eye conditions. She enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and believes in taking the time to educate patients about their eye health and treatment options.

Previously, Dr. Adkisson received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky. She is dedicated to delivering personalized care and creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and confident in their care.

Dr. Adkisson is excited to serve the West Tennessee community and looks forward to caring for patients alongside the team at Hart Eyes.

Allison, Dr. Hart’s sister, is the office manager at Hart Eyes. She will help you pick out the perfect pair of glasses, check you in for your appointments, and schedule follow up visits.
 

Allison received her Bachelor of Science in Communications from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She worked alongside Dr. Hart at Loden Vision Centers as an ophthalmic technician where she performed comprehensive patient work-ups. Her work days consisted of refractions (“which is better 1 or 2”), pre-surgical measurements, and checking eye pressures, all while providing excellent patient care.
 

Allison loves coffee, cooking, going to Nashville Predators games with her husband Nick, and spending quality time with her family. Although she grew up in Milan, she is now a Medina resident and is excited to become a part of the community.
